Since being founded in 1985 as the 'Mood Disorders Unit' at Prince Henry Hospital, the Black Dog Institute has been at the forefront of Mental Health research. They are passionate about clinical best practices being continuously improved, and refined & in line with the latest evidence in regard to mental health.
With their drive and passion, today their focus is to address new challenges in mental health, which includes suicide prevention, digital innovation, lived experience, youth and workplace mental health.
Black Dog Institute has a clear vision for a mentally healthier world. This vision guides their strategy to deliver research with real-world impact to treat, manage and prevent common mental health conditions and suicide in workplaces, schools, health settings and the wider community.
